South Carolina Bar Benefits from Automated Pro Bono Tools

One of the hallmarks of the legal profession is its demonstrated commitment to service to those who are unable to afford representation, and the South Carolina Bar Pro Bono Project has taken advantage of several of the Pro Bono tools available in LegalServer in order to more effectively connect applicants with qualified pro bono volunteers.

SCBPBP uses the Create Pro Bono Opportunities Tool in LegalServer to flag cases that would be a particularly good fit for their volunteers, and they also use the Pro Bono Obligations tools to more efficiently track and manage the work that their volunteers do in exchange for training and CLE credits.

SCBPBP benefits from the electronic case transfer of cases from South Carolina Legal Services, increasing the number of cases successfully sent to pro bono advocates.
